Somewhat Decorated Initial

In a standstill with this letter. I know what I want, just don't know how to achieve the look. So far, I took this plain paper mached letter, added scrapbook paper to the front, distressed the edges, and stapled ribbon to the back. I don't know if it just needs darker ribbon, or a more bold look overall. I left the edges of the letter blank if I decide I want to flip it over and start fresh.
